    Rare lady's desk in rosewood veneer decorated with rosewood and stained wood marquetry, and decorated with bronze trimmings.
    This period furniture, with movement on all its fronts, has the particularity of being curved on its flap. This one is richly worked and encircled by a scalloped and chiseled bronze rod. On a rosewood veneer in 4 leaves, we find rosewood inlays forming large volutes. In the center, we observe an oval medallion, horizontal, depicting a plant scene where flowers and plants of different colors form a bouquet, accompanied by a beautiful bird and a butterfly.
    This flap is also equipped with a beautiful original bronze entrance accompanied by its key in working condition.
    On the top of the desk, there is a tray with a gallery.
    On each side of the flap, a bronze on the edge of the piece of furniture joins in the upper part the openwork gallery of the top.
    This upper part also has a floral composition.
    The piece of furniture rests on 4 curved feet whose upper part is dressed with a fall representing a child. Each foot is dressed with a bronze edge ending with a bronze shoe.
    The back of the piece of furniture is made of mahogany with a single sheet without joint.
    The flap opens with brass hinges forming dovetails. It has a dark rosewood border with red leather and two cold borders, a golden vignette, corners and a central motif. Inside, we find two drawers whose fronts are movement, rosewood with a rosewood surround and a brass knob chased original. The bottoms of the drawers are in mahogany. A sliding trap door with brass tab reveals additional storage space.
