    This two-part piece features a marine-style chest of drawers at the bottom.
    This chest opens with five drawers, two small ones at the top and three large ones at the bottom.
    All have inlaid brass "bateau" handles, and the drawers are fitted with original functional locks with rosewood diamond escutcheons and fitted keys.
    The uprights are adorned with applique half-columns and terminate in galette feet.
    The drawer interiors are in teak with center rails and dust covers.
    The cabinet also features a recessed display case at the top, a framed, barred double glass door with adjoining columns.
    Featuring an authentic working lock with key and keyhole, these doors are highlighted by two finely carved fleur-de-lys and acanthus leaf motifs.
    The interior features two shelves, mounted on racks, with wide retaining edges and two small drawers.
    This showcase chest of drawers will attract attention with its original style and shallow dimensions.
