Magnificent Parisian-made chest of drawers in rosewood, benefiting from beautiful lemon wood marquetry.
The body of this piece of furniture opens on the front with three identical drawers, in Rio rosewood veneer, inlaid with lemon tree marquetry forming a bouquet, scrolls and foliage. Around the edge, the composition is surrounded by two lemon tree fillets. This block of three identical drawers is in an ogee and miter cut frame. They are each equipped with an original lock in working order accompanied by a rear key and original chiseled round entrances as well. In the lower part, a protruding drawer forming a plinth has a grooved molding on the top.
    Oak drawer sides and bottoms.
This chest of drawers has an ogee-shaped upper part, inlaid with a light wood composition. It simulates a drawer and opens on brass hinges. It is held by a brass knee compass. Inside, we discover a large mercury mirror with interior molding around the edge. A white Carrara marble with three circular spaces is also present, accompanied on the top and on each side, long rosewood covers.
The top of this cross-grain rosewood chest of drawers is decorated with lemon tree fillets and floral arrangements inlaid in its corners.
This chest of drawers is rare in its size, functionality and composition.
