Charming middle chest of drawers made in Paris, composed of 3 identical slightly domed drawers on the front. Each of their facades has a rosewood veneer positioned in butterfly wings in its center. Around it, a double fillet of light wood and amaranth, alternating with geometric squares, is framed with miter-cut mahogany bands. In the center, we find a bronze keyhole topped with a Louis XVI knot from which escapes a wreath of foliage. The original lock is in working order and its key is later. The interior of the drawers is in oak.
Below, a slightly cut-out crosspiece is covered in bronze with Greco-Roman inspirations.
On each side of this middle piece of furniture, a ¼ round mahogany wooden element is attached to the foot. This is made up of inlays of wide nets in light wood and amaranth, decorated in the upper part with a large bronze drop and continuing with a slightly curved foot with a bronze shoe forming lion's paws.
The sides have the same composition as the front drawers: rosewood veneer, light wood and amaranth fillets.
This chest of drawers is topped with a Morello cherry marble from the Pyrenees accompanied by an openwork brass gallery with entrance on the front.
In addition to its quality and the taste brought to its manufacture, this piece of furniture delights with its golden ornamentations and its refinement. This piece of furniture, rare in its shape, benefits from an ideal size.
