Exceptional Marine piece of furniture with the particularity of combining storage and writing space.
This furniture is made up of two distinct elements:
The base unit has 3 spacious drawers of different heights. Their front is equipped with a developed mahogany burl, two recessed brass handles (whose plates have concave angles) and a key with original lock in working order. A net entry underlines the passage of the key. The interior of these drawers has two panels and a reinforcing crosspiece to prevent sagging. This facade is reinforced at the corners by brass straps. The sides are made of a single panel.
The wall unit has two small drawers in the center with burl mahogany fronts, recessed handles, keys and original locks in working order and mesh entry.
On the right, a large drawer (whose burl mahogany front is surrounded by a wide mitred band with interior moulding) conceals a small writing space which is revealed by pressing two push buttons. We discover a green leather with cold labels and joined golden labels.
In addition, the back of this space has identical lockers accompanied by two drawers and a door with brass handle, key and original lock in working order.
On the left of this top element, we observe an identical part of external appearance to the right part. There is a sliding box with a top lined with leather with 2 cold stamps and 2 golden stamps. The mahogany surround can be lifted using a brass ring in its recessed brass frame. Below we discover a large storage space.
Finally, the top of this piece of furniture is made of a mahogany strip, angles embellished with concave-shaped recessed brass elements and a large green sheepskin (installed by us) in 3 elements, also featuring cold stamps and gold stamps.
This piece of furniture, which has benefited from a beautiful patina, will delight you with its quality of manufacture, its warm color and its originality.
