Chest of drawers in solid mahogany and veneered, in the style of Transition Louis XV to Louis XVI.
Its top is a pretty Brocatelle Marble, of a Pinkish Yellow color. It perfectly fits the shape of this chest of drawers and is carved with a groove on its perimeter.
This piece of furniture is built with two large drawers, provided with stops that can be removed with two rods.
Each of these drawers is provided with a brass entrance and a lock in working order, accompanied by its key. They are also provided with two Original Bronze Beaded Rings. The fronts of these drawers are protruding in their center. They have Double Filets surrounds, forming frames with Greek angles, inlays that are found on the sides of the furniture.
The front uprights are decorated in the upper parts with Bronze Chutes cut in Flowers and Foliage.
The base of the lamp of this chest of drawers is decorated with a bronze shell motif.
The set rests on four feet furnished with Sabots of the same alloy.
The inside of the drawers as well as the top and back of the cabinet are in Oak.
This Sauteuse chest of drawers is distinguished by its hidden crossbar, thus offering a Perfect Continuity in the Marquetry of its front. We will also appreciate the variety of Mahogany tones that this Elegant piece of furniture benefits from.
