Louis XVI Period Mahogany Officer's Chest of Drawers Circa 1780

Superb Officer's Chest of Drawers in Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer from the Louis XVI period, opening with three drawers on the front and resting on four "Pieds Toupies".

It is trimmed with Grey Veined White Marble, encircled by a gilded openwork Brass Gallery. The front and rear mounts are fluted and sheathed in gilded brass.

Rich and beautiful ornamentation in Bronze and Gilded Brass such as Pull Handles, Lock Entrances, Shoes, Scrapers, Rings, Gallery, Drawer Frames and Side Panels. Cloverleaf locks are a guarantee of quality craftsmanship.
