Louis XVI Period Fontainebleau Mahogany Officer's Chest of Drawers Circa 1780

Superb Officer's Chest of Drawers in Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer from the Louis XVI period, opening with three drawers on the front and standing on four "Pieds Toupies".
It is trimmed with Grey Veined White Marble (formerly restored) encircled by an openwork Gilded Brass Gallery. The front and rear mounts are fluted and sheathed in gilded brass.
Rich and beautiful ornamentation in Bronze and Gilded Brass such as Pull Handles, Lock Entrances, Shoes, Rings, Gallery, Drawer Frames and Side Panels. Keyed, Cloverleaf locks guarantee quality craftsmanship.
This Chest of Drawers, of Very Fine Quality of Execution, bears an Inventory Mark in Black Ink, Numero and F par Deux Fois, Possible Château de Fontainebleau.
