Solid Bois des Iles chest of drawers, originally from the Nantes region, with a sinuous facade.
Its relatively Fine Wood top is designed in Miter Cut and Molded in Bec de Corbin Softened at its edges.
This Cabinet opens with three drawers arranged in three rows and with visible crosspieces. With an identical depth of 15 cm, they are Richly Embellished with Large Handles and Entrances in Bronze, Rocaille spirit, Original and Authentic. Each of these drawers is equipped with a working lock with its key, behind the rest of the chest of drawers.
The low and side rails are Movement and underlined by the same uninterrupted molding.
The front uprights of this piece of furniture are quarter-round, Fluted, and finished in crowbar. The rear legs are more modestly cut out.
The sides are made up of recessed panels with slightly worked edges.
It should be noted that the interior of the drawers are in fir and entirely from the period.
This chest of drawers and its 250 years of history will amaze you with this unusual mixture that makes them so special: the Sobriety of the lines specific to Port Furniture, associated with Opulent Ornamentation more frequently present on Street Furniture.
