A large and beautiful Louis XV period marquetry chest of drawers stamped by HANSEN Hubert. It features four drawers and a beautiful, finely chiseled and gilded bronze trim.
Beautiful original marble with a corbin beak, Parisian work from the early 18th century. It bears the H.HANSEN stamp preceded by the JME hallmark.
In good condition, with an old restoration, a small bronze chip on the handle at the top left. Dimensions: H 88 x W 145 x D 64 cm

After obtaining his master's degree in 1747, Hansen set up his studio on Rue de Charenton and died a few years later, in 1756. The numerous works he left behind are in the Louis XV style, classical in form, crafted with great taste and elegance, generally in rosewood and violetwood veneer, richly decorated with flowers, branches, and bronze rocailles.
