Delightful Louis XV period jumping chest of drawers, circa 1750, in solid walnut with colored marble top.
The front and sides are curved, it opens with two drawers and rests on four arched legs, two hind legs on the front, the two back legs resting on carved balls.
The handles and lock escutcheons are in bronze.
This lovely chest of drawers is a regional piece of furniture from the south of France, probably the Castres region.
The whole is sound and well preserved, I would point out an old restoration on the left of the bottom drawer and the left rear leg has been replaced in the past (without incidence).
