Martin-Etienne Lhermite (around 1730-around 1765) - Cabinetmaker - Master's degree obtained on August 22, 1753: 18th century cabinetmaker, Martin-Etienne Lhermite is characterized by his works in Louis XV flower marquetry.
From his marriage in 1752 to Jeanne-Pierre Van Risen Burgh, daughter of the renowned Bernard Van Risen Burgh II, Martin-Etienne Lhermite had three daughters. From his factory on rue de Charenton, he creates very beautiful furniture stamped Louis XV, covered with veneers, plain or placed in various ways.
Its most characteristic pieces of furniture display very decorative flower marquetry in colored wood.
