Elegant, large corner cabinet resting on two front feet. Slightly curved belt. Opposite chevron marquetry in amaranth and satinwood. Thick Flanders hornbeak marble (?).
Bears a label indicating the following provenance: Paul Krug for Paul II Krug, manager of the eponymous Champagne group in the mid-twentieth century, between his residences in Champagne and Monaco.

Cabinetmaker. Paris. He lived successively on rue Faubourg Saint-Germain and rue de Charonne, around the middle of Louis XV's reign. His stamp, with its large characters, has only been found on a few pieces of furniture: chests of drawers, furniture at table height and tables.
