    - Wall console in finely carved painted walnut, 18th century.

    - This console develops in height while stretching in the same way in width, thus offering a harmonious composition which gains in lightness.
It begins with a cartouche with an oval in its center with a curved surface left bare and inscribed in a double shell motif. This shell is hollowed out with rudent grooves, it wraps elegantly at the ends giving the relay to an acanthus leaf facing us. On either side of the cartridge, a leaf carved in profile marries the incipient roundness of the shell to develop in an "S" and form a butt. These sticks serve as a support for two cherubs with faces turned inwards and whose wings follow the curved shape drawn by leaves sculpted in profile. The elevation continues with a molding adorned with a frieze of ovals which plays the role of transition before the final plateau whose plump body is decorated with a frieze of gadroons.

    - This console has polychromy; a red and an ecru tone. This juxtaposition of colors that the time has come to create, offers pleasant contrasts which enliven the sculpture and especially the delicate faces of the cherubs.

    - The "shell" is a recurring ornamental motif in the Renaissance repertoire, whose success continued in the 18th century. Openwork, stretched, softened (like that of the console) it enters the rockery compositions.

    18th century work, in walnut.
