Napoleon III period console in solid mahogany and moiré mahogany veneer, topped by an original Sainte-Anne marble.
This piece of furniture with front and sides with movements, opens in belt by a drawer underlined on its bottom by a half-round moulding making the circumference. The inside of the drawer is in mahogany and equipped with stops.
This console rests at the front on two cambered feet with a scroll upwards. It is decorated with a string of flowers. Its feet are recessed and molded. They become narrower towards the bottom and end in a scroll with an acanthus leaf.
The back legs are simply cut out. They rest on a base with the same movement as the top, whose perimeter is molded into a groove. The whole rests at the front on two small circular feet slightly molded.
At mid-height, we find, embedded in the four legs, a movement shelf with a double half-round molding around the edge.
The top is topped with an original anthracite and white marble, known as Sainte-Anne, which follows the shape of the console. We find an identical molding on the shelf.
You will be charmed by the curves and sculptures of this console, magnified by the warm shades of mahogany.
