These consoles belonged to the J. Bonjean-Brantôme collection.
Jean-Paul Bonjean was one of the first collectors and antique dealers to bring the 17th century back into fashion. Brantôme was the name of the gallery he opened with decorator Jean Pascaud.
Our consoles can be seen on the front cover of the book "Le XVII° Français", by Stéphane Faniel and Pierre Levallois, Connaissance des arts, published by Hachette, 1958.
