Mahogany Console Louis XVI Period

Circa 1780


Superb Mahogany Console from the Louis XVI period, resting on fluted mounts inlaid with gilded brass and terminating in "Pieds Toupies". The legs are joined by a Tablette d'Entretoise.

The Console opens with a drawer on the front and is topped with a Grey Veined White Marble Top encircled by an openwork Gilded Brass Gallery. Beautifully and richly ornamented with Bronze and Gilded Brass such as Gallery, Scrapers, Grooves, Rings, Sabots, Pull Handles and Chopsticks. Key included.

Very fine furniture, refined and elegant. Beautiful wood.
