Half-moon shaped wall console table in carved oak with a gray-green patina. Beautiful, richly carved model resting on a central console leg, adorned with acanthus leaves and rows of piastres, the apron carved with interlacing, and falling flowers and fruit. It is topped with gray Sainte Anne marble. Parisian work from the early Louis XVI period (circa 1770-1780), a fine production comparable to that of Jacob.
Beautiful sculpture with elegant proportions, particularly this central console leg, reminiscent of those of Jacob's armchairs for the Count of Artois at the Château de Maisons. Our console table is suitable for an entrance hall or dining room (the green color recalls that of the dining room of the Hôtel de Camondo).
A charming 18th-century object, ideal for a country house or a city apartment.
Very good overall condition, structurally sound and in good condition, with minor restorations. The console table has been re-lacquered and re-patinated.
(It needs to be fixed to the wall, which is why we're holding it up for the photos.)
