Console or center table from the Louis XVI period. Late 18th century. It is carved on all sides. The belt is molded and decorated with a frieze of interlacing, rosettes and truncated drops on the uprights. It rests on four fluted and rudenté spindle legs. It opens with a drawer on one side. Speckled Grey Caunes marble top, a fairly rare marble used from the Louis XIV period until the beginning of the 19th century (Caunes-Minervois Quarry in Aude). The top is decorated with projections at the corners (one corner glued back together). Console re-lacquered in gray and re-champi off-white. Note: the inside of the drawer was redone in the 19th century.
