Martin Ohneberg (Born circa 1738) - Cabinetmaker. Paris. Mastered July 7, 1773. He ran a workshop on rue Traversière Saint-Antoine and later cour de la Juiverie. Ohneberg worked for a host of fashionable merchants. He composed his works with care, in a light, sober taste.
Martin Ohneberg was a cabinetmaker of delicate and supple talent, as well as an excellent marker who often used rosewood veneer of the finest quality. He produced an infinite variety of chests of drawers, corner cabinets and, above all, flip-top secretaries. Ohneberg's production is in the Transition and Louis XVI styles.
