Restoration Period Mahogany Dining Table With System
circa 1830
An important and rare solid mahogany dining table with bands, resting on a baluster shaft terminating in four molded and carved legs on casters.
A rare and ingenious system: when the table is unfolded, its shaft separates into two sections. The table has a Mahogany extension, with the possibility of adding additional extensions.
Chateau furniture of very fine craftsmanship, probably from a major Parisian firm, stylistically very close to JACOB. Very fine dimensions. Beautiful wood.
Restoration Period, circa 1830, 19th Century.
