Superb antique French hunting table / animal table from the 19th century in black forest style, large oval model. Amazing model featuring 4 dragons. Crafted from European oak with exquisite craftsmanship, the carving work is breathtaking. Each animal is sculpted with great attention to detail and they are sculpted with their throats open to appear to move on the table leg, you would hear them huff and whirr. The dragons immediately catch the eye, they are sculpted to perfection. Everything is made of solid European oak with a wonderful patina. Large oval model with an amazing looking table top. The original ejection mechanism is present and in working order. The table can be extended to approximately 4 meters (without additional table leaves). It will make a splash in any hunting lodge. A timeless antique!
