Rare rosewood table with 2 flap leaves, model 3605. Nickel-plated steel base on rosewood shoes. Designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, Denmark circa 1956.
This table was only produced for a few years, most of it in teak and often without extensions. A rosewood version accompanied by its two extensions and in this state of conservation is exceptional.
All surfaces have been carefully cleaned, sanded and reprocessed by our restorer. The grain of the wood is very well returned, the touch is silky.
L 152 CM X D 80 CM X H 70 CM.
2 extensions 49.5 CM.
This piece of furniture is represented in the introduction to the book “Icons of Modern Furniture”, Dominic Bradbury, edition of La Martinière.
