This trunk is entirely made of solid mahogany and has a single mitered board on the sides and front.
The four sides are made of a single width of board without joints assembled at the corners by six dovetails.
The lower part is formed by a plinth in relief whose edge is molded in groove and two elements of wood recessed along the length of the furniture.
This chest has an original iron lock with double hook in perfect working order.
The lid is opened by original wrought iron hinges. A compass called "knee" maintains it in a vertical position.
Its transport is made possible by the presence on the sides of wooden elements imprisoning rope handles.
This trunk reflects through its soul, the many nautical miles it has traveled on the seas of the globe. It will bring authenticity to your home.
