This beautiful little piece of teak furniture dates from the 17th century and was purchased in Brazil, but all the evidence suggests that it is of Portuguese origin.
With its two strongly molded doors, its generous gendarme-cap cornice and its discreet original hardware, it was used as a showcase, with two slender glass shelves... it's quite natural.
