Rare Italian cabinet in the architectural style, in blackened wood and jaspée tortoiseshell reserves, opening with 10 drawers framing a 4-columned door decorated with a gilded bronze statuette representing a vestal woman and revealing two small drawers, with secret drawers inside, origin Italy (Naples?), late 17th-early 18th century.
The cabinet is in good overall condition and of superb quality. The ornamentation is in bronze, chased with foliage motifs and cherubs' heads or mascarons. Secret drawers behind the central door.
