    - Blackened wood cabinet, 17th century.

    - Rectangular in shape, our cabinet opens on the front with a flap fitted with a lock. This piece of furniture has smooth exterior faces, only the front is decorated with two rectangular moldings. This cabinet surprises with its exterior sobriety in contrast with the preciousness of its interior. Once opened, a set of drawers is revealed to hide precious objects for the collector. The interior face of the flap is lined with burgundy velvet decorated with a braid with gold threads around the edge; once horizontal, it serves as a support for objects taken from the drawers or as a writing desk. The upper leaf, once raised, exposes three frames. The central frame contains a mercury mirror while the side ones contain embroidery with gold threads (a motif of a bird in tall grass) applied to the burgundy velvet.

    - The interior of the cabinet is organized, in appearance, of nine compartments whose faces are lined with the same burgundy velvet. In reality, the drawers of the first row are feigned; the front lifts up and reveals a hidden drawer. The second row includes three small independent drawers whose sockets are at the bottom. The third row is a single drawer with two sockets.

    - The reduced dimensions of this box add to its preciousness, already established by the meticulousness of the design work and textiles used. Small handles housed on the sides provide information on the mobile character to which this box must have responded.

    - Good condition of conservation, restorations are to be reported, the velvet and the braid reported.
