    This handsome two-piece sideboard is made of oak, with deeply-molded, large-framed doors and curved horizontal crosspieces. Its movement is not quite Louis XIV, but not yet Louis XV; its period is the Regency, and it is typical of Île de France production. Its arched cornice is known as a "chapeau de gendarme", it rests on short straight legs and the bottom of the piece is encircled by a cornice, its sides are made up of two panels with flat bands on the lower part and two panels on the upper part.
    It is of reduced dimensions for this type of furniture, measuring just 2.36 m high, 1.47 m wide at the top and 59 cm deep at the same level.
