Small Louis XV Louis XVI transitional walnut sideboard.
Made in the late 18th century.

The proportions are unusual; this piece is rather tall
with a modest width.

The "doe" feet are in the Louis XV style, as is the lower crosspiece.
The canted sides of the front legs, the candlesticks in the drawers, and the bronze drop handles are in the Louis XVI style.
All these clues suggest that this sideboard was made under Louis XVI
with inspiration from the Louis XV style.

The opening top is a curiosity; this assembly is original.
