Sideboard in Violet Wood Veneer, Louis XV style, with a Crossbow front opening by two doors. These last ones - just like the sides - are embellished with Butterfly Wings Marquetry, with double friezes, the first ones in Chevrons, the second ones in thread, or inversely. The central element, curved, is an integral part of the right door. It is decorated with four vertical bands in Chevrons and equipped with an original lock entrance in cut Bronze. The cabinet comes with its key, also of the period. The door on the left has metal clasps on the top and bottom. Note that these two moving leaves are mounted on offset brass lighters.
The interior, in Oak, offers two storage compartments, formed by the presence of a shelf of 32 cm deep on fixed cleats.
The top is a Pyrenean Marble granite with a dominant Red color and shades of Grey and White. It is cut on the front, the corners and the sides according to the lines of the furniture and it is molded on its perimeter.
The front jambs of this Buffet Commode are half-round and the base is decorated with a bronze foliage.
The set rests on four curved legs, inlaid with Violet Wood in Chevrons and finished by four brass sabots.
This Sideboard, whose height on feet evokes a Chest of Drawers, benefits from pretty and delicate wood games. We will also appreciate the unusual design of this piece of furniture, which allows us to imagine it supporting a Bronze, positioned under a Mirror, and furnished with Glassware for example.
