Napoleon III Inter-Two Support Cabinet - Mid 19th Century

Napoleon III Support Cabinet in blackened pear wood, opening with two doors with oval panels, slightly domed and surrounded by ornate bronze rods. These doors are also decorated with brass threads of varying thicknesses, inlays that can be found on the upper and lower parts of this piece of furniture, as well as on the sides. The right leaf is provided with a lock with high and low hooking points, and it is supplied with its key.
The Mahogany interior consists of two shelves of the same wood, with front edges inlaid with brass threads on a blackened background. With a depth of 32 cm, they are placed on racks and therefore adjustable as desired over a total storage height of 86 cm.
There are many ornaments on this ceremonial piece of furniture. Thus busts of women with the allure of Egyptians, Bronze Chutes, Spandrels, keyhole and other meticulously shaped fittings embellish this in-between buffet.
Its top is a white marble from Italy, with front angles cut into rounded shapes thus marrying the curved lines of the uprights. It is surrounded by an ornamental bronze frieze with repeated chiseled flower decorations.
The whole rests on a wide plinth embellished in its center by a generous Mascaron and on the border by a frieze identical to that described above.
This piece of furniture can be completely dismantled, thanks to a simple system of return screws.
