Mahogany sideboard, Louis XVI style - Early XXth century

Piece of furniture of Entre-Deux in solid Mahogany and veneer of Mahogany Moiré, of Louis XVI style.
Its top is a beautiful Green Marble of the Alps with White veining, 3 cm thick, cut to Gorge on its perimeter. Its front corners are cut with springs, thus marrying the lines of the uprights which are also cut.
This sideboard offers several storage spaces, including two drawers in the waist, assembled in 'Tails of Arondes', with a simple system of wooden blocking. They are equipped with round drawer handles chiseled in laurel wreaths and are embellished, on both sides, with brass beaded friezes forming frames and thus underlining the two recessed panels that constitute each of these drawers.
Underneath, this sideboard is composed of a niche with three open sides, with a bottom in Moiré Mahogany enhanced by a doucine strip. The visible parts of the rear uprights are fluted, recalling the grooves of the front columns. We note that the latter are topped by two finely worked bronzes, representing a bouquet of flowers hanging from a ribbon.
Finally, in the lower part of this sideboard, two doors in Moiré Mahogany reveal a bare compartment offering storage space on 34 cm high. The fronts are made of panels recessed from each other, underlined by molded wood frames and beaded friezes identical to those of the drawers. The intermediate panel is cut with Greek Corners decorated with Bronze Fleurettes. These doors are equipped with intertwined laurel garlands, and the one on the right is equipped with a lock with top and bottom hooks in working order. The furniture is provided with its key.
The set rests on four turned and molded feet, finished with brass Sabots.
