Furniture in solid and veneered Mahogany, from the beginning of the last century, which we owe to the Art Nouveau movement.
It consists in the center of a recessed space, including a mirror with bevelled edges topped with a sculpted frieze. There are also two small shelves with lively lines and molded borders. The sides and bottom are paneled with flat bands, a composition also chosen for the doors and sides of the cabinet.
Below, this Cabinet opens with two drawers with large bronze pull handles, as well as two doors with keyholes in the same alloy. The interior is lined with a 41 cm deep shelf mounted on racks. It will be noted that this set forms an advance over the rest of the furniture.
On both sides, two taller and narrower storage compartments behind their doors contain eight shelves in total, partially adjustable in height and interchangeable.
The facades of the four doors of this piece of furniture benefit from a similar composition, namely Burr Mahogany Veneer with symmetrical designs applied to solid Mahogany. It is this judicious combination which allows, on the lower doors, the Sculpture of Vine Decorations in the thickness of the wood. We also find on the side doors, in the upper parts, protruding Pampres.
It should be noted that the doors lock and that the cabinet is supplied with its three current keys.
The whole rests on twelve feet, some of them connected in pairs.
The drawer interiors as well as the back of the cabinet are in Oak.
This Cabinet can be dismantled into four parts.
It has benefited from a Quality manufacturing, which it owes to "Au Confortable", a Parisian company which has affixed its stamp in one of the drawers.
We will appreciate the pretty mahogany veins of this Modern style piece of furniture, which also offers a variety of interesting spaces.
