Important Buffet Vitrine, attributed to the House of E. Diot, Art Nouveau - 1900

Solid mahogany sideboard, attributed to the Parisian firm Edouard Diot.
The central body opens with two doors with doucine frames. The edges are with flats and a recess in the upper part. They are equipped with bronze entrances and an original lock with key. The interior is lined with a thick shelf, adjustable since on racks. The belt presents two drawers, with moving fronts. They are equipped with chiseled handles, decorated with flowers in full bloom. An original functional lock, in the center, locks these drawers simultaneously. The top, with a crushed groove, is surmounted, in a molded frame, by a beveled mercury mirror. The latter is surmounted by a curved panel, with a flat band and interior moldings, and a curved shelf at the corners.
Set back at the ends, two narrow cabinets with glazed and panelled doors in the same taste, are also equipped with authentic locks, in working order, with keys and entrances. They are each equipped with three adjustable shelves, placed on racks, and if necessary interchangeable. In the upper part, arched uprights support a shelf.
The whole rests on projecting feet, which are the continuation of the molded posts.
