This beautiful oak sideboard opens with four doors, two small ones on the sides and two large ones in the center. Originally from Northern France, the front is curved, both convex and concave, the doors are richly molded and a cornice appears at the bottom and under the top, while the sides have the same molding framing the panels. The interior of the cabinet is particularly well-crafted, with flat-banded panels and rounded spandrels on the corners. This 18th-century piece of furniture has come down to us in a very good state of preservation. The top, back and legs are original, and only the locks have been replaced, as have the entrances, which are from the Directoire period. Three or four long pieces have been placed on the top to fill gaps caused by wood shrinkage. This beautiful sideboard, which we are offering at a very reasonable price, is available for collection from our home in Sologne, 20 km south of Orléans. If you wish, we can arrange for a courier to deliver it to your destination.
