Two Regional Body Buffet in Blond Cherry, Louis XIV period.
This Diminutive type storage furniture is by definition made up of an upper body that is less wide and shallower than the one on which it rests.
Each of these elements opens with two doors, cut with moldings and flat bands, just like the sides of the cabinet. They are fitted with period iron locks and plugs. They lock and this sideboard is supplied with its two original keys.
The leaves of the first Body are, in the upper part, slightly curved and have astonishing Decorative hallmarks. The frame has a sculpted circle in its center, an ornament that can also be found on its cut-off angles, characteristic of the reign of the Sun King.
The interiors offer, for the upper part, two shelves 37 cm deep and, for the lower part, a single, larger, 57 cm. All are removable and placed on fixed cleats.
This Two Body Buffet is topped with an important Double Cornice richly worked and its low crosspiece is molded.
The rears are in Oak, designed with slightly worked uprights and panels, as for a ceremonial piece of furniture.
The whole is based on two rounded front legs and two right rear legs.
We will underline the elegance of the lines of this Buffet Deux Corps from the Loire Valley, the pretty color of its wood, and its authenticity in its entirety.
