Exceptional Somno in Burl Mahogany veneer dating from the First Empire, topped with a black and beige granite marble top, in a "bowl" shape. Of a rare design by its quality of wood and workmanship, this piece of furniture presents a belt slightly indented towards the top decorated with a base in solid Mahogany rush: a drawer with its small brass pull button comes to dress this belt, its delicate dovetail assembly and its sides give it a remarkable finesse. It opens with a door with its oval handle, joined in the center for the veneer pattern in ramage, on an interior in red tones typical of 18th century furniture consisting of a tablet. On each side of this opening is a solid mahogany ring, thus delimiting the door with the rest of the furniture. This piece of furniture rests on a plinth made up of a vertical wooden plinth that is quite high in height.
The Antiquarian's comment: "Exceptional Somno for its elegance in height, diameter, quality of material and workmanship, as well as for its perfect condition for its time".
