    Louis XV style alcove bed with embossed velvet. Mid-19th century.
    Elegant and very decorative side bed also called alcove bed, which can very well be used as a daybed in a living room.
    Made in a Louis , the whole rests on 8 curved feet ending in windings.
    This old and beautiful piece of carpentry comes from a castle in the Normandy region, it has upholstery in perfect condition, with a very comfortable mattress, it was covered a few years ago at great expense with a superb embossed velvet from the Rubelli house, blue in color with flower and fruit patterns including pomegranates, during this restoration two bolsters and two pillows were made, the mattress has a removable cover and is covered with the same velvet on both sides.
    Very good overall condition, the velvet has some small stains and minor wear.
