This four-poster castle bed is a Louis XIII-style bed with four twisted columns supporting a canopy.

Made entirely of oak, this bed dates from the second half of the 19th century. It is richly molded and carved with fantastical creatures, cartouches in the shape of coats of arms, numerous scrolls, crenellated friezes, and heart-shaped stripes.

Of fine craftsmanship, this bed is enhanced by the upholstery of quality ruby-colored fabric with a floral pattern, enriched with tassel trimmings, gold braid, and fringe. This set consists of two large curtains, a headboard curtain, a bedspread, a canopy, and three valances.

Comfortable and sturdy, it is completely disassembled, making it easy to place in a bedroom.

The wood has been cleaned and waxed.

The bed features a new slatted base and a new 27 cm thick mattress.
