Rare and very decorative model of sky and column bed, in the style of Viollet-le-Duc, this four-poster bed presents a very elegant openwork curtain in the style of the windows and rosettes which pierce the monuments of the Flamboyant Gothic period.

This curtained bed was made in the first half of the 19th century to furnish a 16th century manor house, the carpenter who made this charming bed used chestnut wood, he also incorporated older elements, as is often the case in “gothic revival” creations.

Completely disassembled and assembled with iron hooks, this bed consists of a backrest with a panel of napkin folds, wide sleeping rails are also adorned with panels of napkin folds, this is a pattern often used in the style Gothic, these crosspieces receive 2 columns which support the curtain canopy.

The bed wood shows some old restorations, all of the wood has been cleaned and waxed, and gives the wood a very beautiful patina.

The bed is sold with a box spring and a wool mattress, the curtains, the bedspread, the pillowcase and the bolster are also sold with the bed, they are in green velvet and are in very good condition, no damage. stain.
