We are delighted to offer for sale this fabulous Art Deco period bed in walnut and bronze.

This antique Italian walnut bed from the Art Deco period combines elegance and dramatic style with its intricate design and superb bronze details. The rectangular shape of the bed frame, together with the decorative headboard with bedside storage cabinets and a curved, decorated footboard make for a fantastic wow-effect piece with heights of 205 cm and 110 cm respectively, this bed exudes a sense of grandeur that will look sensational in any bedroom.

Made in Italy in the early 1920s-1930s, this original Liberty bed frame is made of walnut and walnut veneer with a bronze Putti, Mary and Jesus and many other fantastic details. The headboard is decorated with Mary and Jesus and there are solid bonze putti cherubs that mount to the footboard, completing the fantastic finish of this bed.

Suitable for an EU king-size mattress, the dimensions are

155 cm x 200 cm

The outside dimensions of the bed at its widest point are 250 cm. This includes the bedside tables, both of which have black marble tops. The bed requires a slatted base.

These can be purchased online or a slatted base can be used inside the frame.

This is a truly unique piece, for anyone looking to add a touch of history to their home.

The bed disassembles into several pieces, making it easy to transport and handle.

Condition report

Beautiful patina that takes hold of the bronze, adding to the charm.

One of the marble tops has a small professional repair.

Some light scratches and signs of age and use.

Shipping

Our main warehouse is located in Montpellier in the south of France. The majority of our stock will be shipped from here.

For small items weighing less than 20 kg and with a circumference of 180 cm (l + h x 2), this corresponds to a box measuring approximately 50 x 30 x 40 cm.

Delivery 7 to 14 days depending on your location.

You may be subject to customs charges for your package, which will be payable on delivery of your item. Please contact our dedicated team for further information prior to purchase.

Large items to the UK and EU

These items will be shipped with our own transport partners operating between the UK, France and Spain. We aim to dispatch these items within 2-4 weeks. We can ship to other EU countries, but delivery times will vary.

Large items - International shipping

We will need your full address to obtain a true shipping cost from our shipping partners.

Once all costs have been agreed, we will arrange packing and crating if necessary.

The shipment will then be delivered to our freight forwarding partners in the UK and booked for the next crossing.

Crossings can take between 2 and 4 weeks depending on your destination.

If you don't have a customs broker to organize customs duties (you may be liable for taxes on your purchase) and paperwork, our shipping partners can help.

Overseas deliveries can take between 4 and 8 weeks.

Insurance

For any shipment for which you have paid an additional insurance fee, in the unfortunate event of damage in transit. All damage must be reported immediately to the final destination carrier and to us so that we can initiate the claims process.

Returns

In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 3 days of receipt to arrange a return and refund.

Returns must be in the original packaging as received.

Items must be returned in their "as sold" condition.
