Our three glass cylinders, the ends of which are covered with red leather, are perfectly sealed on both sides and bear the seal of the Archbishopric of Sens-Auxerre. This is an exceptional series and in beautiful condition.

A first, more imposing cylinder holds three clearly visible ex-ossibus relics linked to the rich history of the Bishopric of Auxerre.

On the back is the authentic one dated 1879 in the name of Cardinal Victor-Félix Bernardou (1816-1891). It also bears the seal of the Archbishopric of Sens.
Our three relics rest on a golden parterre. It is specified that it is a fragment of the skull (capite) and ribs (costis) of Saint Paule, Saint Magnence and Saint Romain abbot.
Sens Cathedral is said to have received the relics of Saint Paula at the beginning of the 9th century, by Archbishop Magnus.
Saint Magnence is one of the five young girls who, at the death of Saint Germain, Bishop of Auxerre, came to Ravenna to accompany the return to Auxerre of the body.
As for our abbot, Saint Romain, he is undoubtedly Saint Romain of Auxerre, bishop of the 6th century and instructor of Saint Benoit of Nursia.
Our three saints are the history of this archbishopric.

the second cylinder also has its Authentic. It is handwritten and probably a little older than the first. It accompanies eleven relics including Saint Aurelie Martyr, Saint Ursula and her eleven thousand virgins, Saint Placidus, Saint Irene, Begnini, Appolinans, Saint Hyppoliti and Saint Benedict
