Our three fine enamels are signed by the enameller P. Nouailher. Pierre Nouailher was born in 1657 and left us in 1718.
Seat above the representation of the Virgin and Child, Saint Andrew and pendant, Saint Esteve.

Antique objects have a history and it is a joy to know it when possible:
Thus the first known owner of these enamels was Louis-Marie de Nicolaÿ (1729 -1791) bishop of Cahors.
It was in the middle of the 19th century that these plaques were gathered in a gilded and carved wooden panel in which they were inserted.
These are in any case the handwritten, detailed and old explanations written on the back.

The dimensions of the whole are 58 cm by 40.
The most important plaque, that of the Virgin and Child has the following dimensions: 17 cm by 14.5, those of the two Saints measure 7 cm by 9.
Condition of use - a crack in the wood
