Made of alternately whitened and gilded wood and crowned with a palmette, our monstrance holds in its center ex-ossibus relics bagged from Saints Dorothée, Margareth Vierge, Béatrice Martyre, and Saint Honoré. The phylactery of the latter saint is barely legible.
A refined Italian work from the late 18th century.
Five episcopal seals are systematically present on the back of these pieces, symbolically positioned as are the five wounds of Christ on the altar stones.
Dimensions: 54 cm by 17 cm and 10 cm deep at the terrace.
