    Double paper reliquary* with right side a small crucified Christ surrounded by the attributes of the Passion; on the left a miniature Virgin and Child surrounded by flowers and dedicated to several Saints (notably St Just, Ste Rose...), from the 19th century.
    This reliquary is in good general condition. Some labels identifying saints are not legible.
    Note: some wear over time on the reliquary, wear also on the metal case, see photos.
    *Paperrolle:
    Craft technique which consists of rolling up narrow strips of paper to create various shapes and ornamental patterns. Quilling is a very old technique that was used in the Middle Ages, in poor churches, to imitate gold or silver filigree decorations. The creations were often reliquaries called paperolle reliquary. Paperolle is a term derived from paper. It designates not only the technique, but also the production on paper. The name rolled papers is sometimes used as a synonym.
