Southern German work circa 1800. Resting in an ormolu and repoussé rocaille frame, it covers a wooden core. What better word to describe the purpose of this piece!
Resting on two lateral feet, the central part houses a filigree decoration in gold and silver thread centered on an Agnus Dei surrounded by two bagged ex-ossibus relics.
The phylacteries indicate the presence of Saint Lucius and Saint Fidèle, both martyrs of the first centuries.
On the back are four religious congregation seals authenticating the presence of our relics.
A piece in very fine condition
