Galerie Le Jardin Des Moines, antiques in Sacred Art and religious objects, presents an elegant 18th-century Italian work in carved and gilded wood.
It rests on a tripod base on which a short shaft with a large olive receives a horizontal glazed reliquary niche. The whole is topped by an angel who is old on a bagged ex-ossibus relic of Saint Boni (? illegible phylactery) Martyr, which is surrounded by multiple pearls and original spun-glass flowers. On the back are five episcopal seals guaranteeing the authenticity of the venerated relic. Dimensions: 52 cm high x 37 wide x 15 cm deep. Very good condition - some old traces of woodworm.
