Stunning cross typical of Black Forest craftsmanship made of oak.
Very refined carving evoking an oak tree adorned with acorns
whose branches encircle a sun in the center of the cross, the top of which
bears the INRI phylactery.
The oak base, with steps at the front, is surrounded by a serpent
and decorated with large oak leaves.
A ladder, a spear, and a hammer are attached to the back of the cross.
A rare and beautifully crafted piece of very original Black Forest craftsmanship.
