This exceptional reliquary stands out for its dimensions of 81 cm by 51 cm and its rich composition of cannetilles, silver threads, pearls and colored glassware. At the center of this vast composition is an 18 cm x 12 cm oil on vellum, depicting a polychrome Nativity scene.

The reliquary is designed to house four bagged ex-ossibus relics, namely those of Saint Felicis, Saint Innocent, Saint Crescent and Saint Exupère, all martyrs of the first centuries. The presence of four Agnus Dei in wax reinforces its authenticity. One of the medallions is dated 1725, under the episcopacy of Benedict XIII.

The reliquary also features three clearly visible seals of the General Vicariate of an episcopate and an authentication document dated 1832. The frame, in carved and gilded wood, is adorned with a representation of God in the Cloud, holding the earthly orb and surrounded by two cherubs.

This rare and complete piece is a South German work.
