French school from the end of the 17th - beginning of the 18th century.
This is an imposing limestone crow, heavily worked, decorated with a chubby seraph and vast hair.
Formerly embedded in a wall, in a central position, it was framed by two other angels of more traditional dimensions (see previous announcement). Either three seraphim who spiritually protected a place, or the entrance to a vast residence, during the reign of Louis XIV.
The seraphim is by nature bathed in the love of God in the highest degree. Its primary purpose is the purification and dispelling of darkness and doubts associated with it.
The dimensions of this beautiful piece are 40 cm x 29 cm by 46 cm for a weight of around 50 kg.
    Wear but good condition.
